What is bartow arena?

Bartow Arena is a multi-purpose arena located on the campus of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in Birmingham, Alabama. It was opened in 1988 and is named in honor of Gene Bartow, the founding athletic director and former head basketball coach at UAB.

The arena has a seating capacity of approximately 8,508 and is primarily used for basketball games, concerts, and other events. It is the home venue for the UAB Blazers men's and women's basketball teams.

Bartow Arena has hosted various NCAA basketball tournaments, as well as concerts by popular artists such as Elton John, The Eagles, and Katy Perry. It is also used for graduation ceremonies for UAB students.
